Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) Installed single comfort rooms open to all genders.
According to a report, the Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) introduced their all-gender restrooms to their community. This was after they issued a memorandum that makes all of its single comfort rooms open to all genders.
This is an action that supports the LGBT community. The all-gender restrooms were installed all over the campus.
The ADDU president Fr. Joel Tabora, SJ said in a memo that was released on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, that this action is the result of the school’s efforts in upholding gender sensitivity in the campus.
“ADDU is required to increase understanding and respect for the human needs and sensitivities of all. This would include administrators, teachers, students, and staff on all levels,” he said.
