There are some factors that may cause you to have sleeping problems, including drinking too much alcohol or caffeinated drinks. Yet some causes of restless sleep may tend to become your major problem.
Here are some of the causes of restless sleep. Have a look!
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
This happens when you have loud snoring and frequent gasp-like interruptions in your breathing rhythm in the middle of your sleep. This may lead you to have restless sleep and may result in having headaches, sore throat, or dry mouth when you wake up.
Rapid Eye Movement Sleep Behavior Disorder (RBD)
This happens when you have dreams, lucid dreams, or even nightmares while you were sleeping. You may sometimes tend to act out your dreams such as sleepwalking, mumbling, or even hitting something, and may end up having a restless sleep. It is because RBD may be associated with a higher risk of having Parkinson’s disease.
Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)
This happens when you tend to keep your legs moving because of uncomfortable sensations all throughout your night. It is also called Willis-Ekbom disease.
