13-month-old baby Daisy Smith enjoyed her swimming experience.
Danielle Smith happily shared the swimming experience of baby Daisy, her 13-month-old infant born with anophthalmia, a condition wherein one is born with the absence of eyes.
The said condition that caused baby Daisy to live in darkness affects only one out of 10,000 babies in United Kingdom.
When she was still in her mother’s womb, the medical doctor diagnosed Daisy to have a cyst on her brain. Danielle and her husband, Andrew Smith, were asked if they would go for the termination of the baby inside the womb.
The couple wanted their baby no matter what so they decided to keep her and they have prepared themselves for the tough things that they have to go through.
To start making up for baby Daisy’s little normal childhood, Danielle decided to bring her into the pool for a swimming when she was just 6 months old.
The happy mother said her baby really has that feeling of excitement shown in her face when she was about to splash in the cool water.
Like the other kids who have just experienced the pool water, baby Daisy was also very happy for her first splashes.
The 25-year-old mom shared that the moment paved the way for her to find out that her baby Daisy loves swimming. She even branded it as her baby’s favorite and it really makes her happy.
Danielle said that she is always excited to see baby Daisy’s happy face whenever she is plunged into the pool every weekend.
Further, she also shared how her baby would put her head under the water for a little time and rise up with that very contagious smile in her face.
The happiness that she gets from swimming is something that Danielle considers as a therapy for the baby.
