Valdez Prepares Team For Finals Redemption.

Valdez on Die-or-Die Match with La Salle: Double the Effort.

Valdez eager in final’s game 2. The Ateneo Eagles are in a very tough fight in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball championships as they either achieve their much-worked three-feat win or lose the title for a comeback for their arch rivals the De La Salle spikers.

Valdez

However, for Ateneo star player Alyssa Valdez is confident that her team has the ability to perform better despite losing in the straight set to La Salle during the first meeting in the finals.

“We just really need to loosen up as a team, just enjoy the game, be happy and play for our teammates, for our coaches and for the people who support us.” she said.

On Wednesday, April 27, it is going to do-or-die match for the Lady Eagles against the Lady Spikers. If they win against La Salle, there will be a deciding game on Saturday but if failed to sustain the team’s eagerness, La Salle may end it the season’s finale early as Wednesday.

Although she was complimentary of La Salle’s performance, Valdez admitted that that the Lady Eagles lacked confident and the killer instinct during their 3-set loss and they will try to get it back in the next face off.

Although Valdez was a game-high pointer in the game, she will be needing the rest of the team to happily work as one to redeem the next match.

With the happy mood they always play, Ateneo has to double their effort if they really want to end the season with a three-feat win starting from the last two seasons or let the title fly back to La Salle.
